How We Help!The VIPS (Volunteers In Police Service) are a volunteer group organized to assist the police department in providing a higher level of service to the community. The VIPS do this by providing services that would otherwise keep officers from responding to higher priority calls for service.
The VIPS assist on many different levels. The group itself is divided into five separate areas, each with their own specific tasks. These groups are:
Each group carries out different tasks crucial to the running of a police department. From the patrol unit doing vacation checks, to the administration unit filing paper work, the VIPS constantly help over a wide range of interest.
